o7/2oo8 (edited o8/o8) 58,5cm by 35cm mainly constructed of fox bones, tubes, cables and foam.
thanks to Oni for helping to transport the cadaver
-found dead fox on motorway and picked it up -buried in ground of forest -found it dig out -placed beneath an ant-hill -boiled the remains -glued and mounted the bones together -glued tubes and cables into stomach -filled gaps with foam -prepared with basic colour -coloured -coated with gleamy clear varnish -constructed and varnished the edges of the base
2nd edition -cables and tubes added to base -coloured base
It looks great.. but i think that people shouldn't use dead animals for a sculpter..
Actually I don't know what to think about. For the corpse of this fox are two ways existing. Alone, dead and buried in the ground or "alive" with many peolple watching his naked bones and repecting the work and the "material".
I don't know wich way respects the dignity and the honor of an animal.
Fantastic! I think this one is a little more complete than the first one. Awesome. I can see where MSdesigns is coming from with that comment about the base Perhaps it could use some nature/forest inspired ornaments ? Then again there's something to be said about a "clean" look as well.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
